Cleaning the kitchen is one of those household chores that people don’t look forward to doing. But hey, somebody’s gotta do it.

Fortunately, there are some kitchen cleaning tips that can help make the job a lot easier. Here are a few tips that might help you get it done faster and easier:

Cleaning Your Stovetop

If you’re having trouble cleaning your stovetop, the best way to do it is by spraying the area with white vinegar once it has cooled down. The area can then be coated with baking soda. You can remove the crusts the mixture made easily by covering the area with a damp towel for about 10-15 minutes.

You’ll find that this technique will help soften the crust. You can then easily wipe the crust away with a textured cloth.

Cleaning A Sponge

Most people tend to forget about cleaning their kitchen sponges after all they’re constantly being soaped up and rinsed. What they don’t realize is that sponges pick up a lot of bacteria, particularly when they are left in the sink. This is why you need to frequently clean them.

A quick way to sanitize a wet sponge and remove 99.9% of germs is to pop it in your microwave for 2 minutes. This is a really quick and easy way you can remove bacteria from your sponge. When that’s done, you can put the sponge in the dishwasher so it can be cleaned thoroughly removing any stains. Just be careful when you take your sponge out of the microwave as it will likely be very hot and can burn you.

Cleaning Stainless Steel Appliances

One really annoying thing about stainless steel appliances is that they can easily be streaked with fingerprints. Fortunately, you can quickly remove these smudges with the help of rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth.

If you want to give your appliance a fresh shine, you can throw in a few drops of olive oil when you give it a wipe.

Cleaning Burnt Pans

Burnt pans can be really tough to clean. The good news is, you can easily get this job done by using vinegar, water, and some baking soda.

What you need to do is fill the pan with water and add about a cup of white vinegar. Let the mixture boil before removing the pan from the stove. Add a couple tablespoons of baking soda and let it rest for a few seconds. When it becomes cooler, you can easily wipe it from your pan.

Cleaning A Microwave

Make your microwave shine again by putting equal parts water and vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl. To prevent the mixture from boiling over, add a toothpick or a wooden spoon.

Set the microwave on high for 5 to 10 minutes. Once this is done, just wait for it to cool down. When you open the door, all you’ll have to do is just wipe down the inside of your microwave.

With these tips, you’ll be able to clean your kitchen in no time. Even if you dislike the task, you can still get it done the right way and in less time.
